La falla del Vallès-Penedès entre Pontons y Font-Rubí (Alt-Penedès)

En la zona suroriental del Macizo del Gaii, patte centrat de la subunidad Prelitoral de las Cadenas Costero Catalanas, se sitúan un conjunto de fallas, de dirección NE-SW, pertenecientes a la Falla del Vallés-Penedés que limita la Cordillera Prelitoral con la Depresión Prelitoral. En el sector estudiado este límite viene representado por dos fallas subpatalelas denominada~ Falla de Les Torres y Falla de Foix. Según las microestructuras observadas se reconoce la existencia de un movimiento en dirección de las dos fallas citadas

Estudio térmico del mineral mercallita, KHSO4

En el presente trabajo se ha estudiado el comportamiento térmico de la mercallita. Se estudia la descomposición del sulfato monopotesico (mercallita) en sulfato potásico y pirosulfato potasico.La aparición del peroxidisulfato potásico posiblemente se debe a una posterior oxidación del pirosulfato potasico.

Beryl: Structural refinement of a sodium-rich natural crystal from Lassur mine (Ariège, France)

The crystal structure rehnement of a blue beryl, abnormally rich in Na, collected in the mine of Lassur (Ariege. France) has been carried out. This Na-beryl is hexagonal, space group P6/mcc with a=9.236(4), c=9.201(5) A; D,i,= ~4.74g cm-' for Z=2. From this refinement the following formula Nao.Be~A1~.~Sis0O.9i ~H. 20w as found. A substitution of Al atom by Fe atom in the octahedral site and an orientational disorder o£ the water molecules in the channels is proposed to explain the crystal stmcture of this beryl

Normal state magnetotransport properties of β\beta-FeSe superconductors

We present $\beta$-FeSe magnetotransport data, and describe them theoretically. Using a simplified microscopic model with two correlated effective orbitals, we determined the normal state electrical conductivity and Hall coefficient, using Kubo formalism. With model parameters relevant for Fe-chalcogenides, we describe the observed effect of the structural transition on the ab-plane electrical resistivity, as well as on the magnetoresistance. Temperature-dependent Hall coefficient data were measured at 16 Tesla, and their theoretical description improves upon inclusion of moderate electron correlations. We confirm the effect of the structural transition on the electronic structure, finding deformation-induced band splittings comparable to those reported in angle-resolved photoemission.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure
